Never sell an offer just because you want to.

The problem with building a business.

In business, we got it backwards.

We tend to think on creating a particular offer just because we feel like it.

"I want to sell X, to Y market"

That doesn't work because...

  1. You started with "I want to"
  2. It tells me that you've not done market research to find out what your target audience needs.

Market's needs is the most important variable.

You first start with your market needs

After you chose your market, the next thing you do is to find their most painful problems.

They want this problem solved, and they'd be willing to pay for it to be solved.

After you find some pain points through your market research, then...

Test your first MVO ASAP.

MVO, MVP (Minimum Viable Offer/Product)

Based on what the market wants, your can then build your first offer. This offer should be an attempt to solve the problem you've encountered in your niche.

Build your MVO rather quickly and test it in the market by offering it to real potential buyers.

Improve from the feedback that the market gives you.

Did they buy? Did thet wanted to see more of a particular feature? Were they interested? What they liked and disliked?

Improve from the feedback the market (people) gives you. But look more at their behavior rather than their words. It ultimately comes down to "Did they buy or not?"

Repeat step 1 by improving your offer based on your feedback until you have a solid solution that your market wants.

Quick and fast volume is key.

Find a way to produce a lot of MVOs. Each MVO iteration will be feedback to improve your offer on your next iteration.

This process, along with the help of your market, you'll develop an effective offer.
